5G Switch Rex gives you one-tap access to the hidden Android system network settings screen so you can manually set your preferred network type, view your baseband version, active modems, and SIM operator status — all without accounts, ads, or an internet connection.

The app is built for privacy-first security. It does not include accounts, ads, analytics, telemetry, cloud sync, remote configuration, or internet permissions. Your network data stays on the device. The release also includes explicit UI security hardening: the app runs with FLAG_SECURE up to the Phone Services (as far as the system will allow) to block screenshots and screen recording, hides overlay windows to prevent tapjacking, and declares no INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission.

5G Switch Rex includes the custom Paleos Font Engine (also up to Phone Services), allowing you to cycle through offline-bundled typography presets without relying on the Android system font resolver.
