BPM to delay/decay, note distance, mic specs, timecode, and calculator — offline.
Musician's Calculator is a professional toolkit built for audio engineers, music producers, and live sound technicians. Every tool works completely offline — no internet connection, no ads, no tracking, no data collection of any kind.
BPM to Delay — Enter any BPM and instantly calculate musical delay times and decay values across all standard note values (whole, half, quarter, eighth, sixteenth, and triplet variants) with dotted and triplet modifiers.
Note to Distance — Calculate the physical distance sound travels during any musical note value at a given BPM, useful for speaker placement, delay compensation, and stage timing.
Microphone Specs Search — Browse and search a built-in database of microphone specifications including polar patterns, frequency response, and self-noise ratings.
Timecode Calculator — Convert between timecode formats and frame rates for video and broadcast work.
Calculator — A clean, full-featured calculator with standard arithmetic operations.
Musician's Calculator supports light and dark mode with a sepia/royal blue color scheme, customizable startup tab, swipeable tab navigation, and a global unit system toggle. Built by Paleos for working musicians and audio professionals.

Frequently asked questions
Does the app require an internet connection?
No. The Musician's Calculator is fully offline. All calculations run locally on your device — no data is ever sent anywhere, and the app works without Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Is the app available for iOS?
Currently the Musician's Calculator is Android-only, available on the Google Play Store. An iOS version is not available at this time.
How current is the microphone database?
The mic database is bundled with the app and covers a broad range of dynamic, condenser, and ribbon microphones with impedance and frequency response data. Because the app is fully offline, the database reflects the version at the time of the installed release.
How does the BPM to Delay calculator work?
Enter your tempo in BPM and select a note value (whole, half, quarter, eighth, etc.) along with a dotted or triplet modifier. The app calculates the exact delay time in milliseconds for that subdivision, including musical decay values for reverb and echo settings.
Does it have ads or track my usage?
Neither. There are no ads, no analytics, no crash reporters, and no third-party SDKs. The only permission the app requests is vibration for haptic feedback.
Or Reach out.

What does the Note to Distance tool do?
It converts a musical note or frequency into the physical wavelength of that sound wave in air. You can switch between feet and meters and adjust for air temperature, which affects the speed of sound — useful for speaker placement, room acoustics, and mic positioning.
